The International Relations Office at Beirut Arab University is pleased to announce an Erasmus+ student mobility opportunity for the Spring 2027 Semester at Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey.

Students interested in this opportunity are invited to review the eligibility requirements and follow the application procedure below.

Application Procedure
Interested students should:

Contact their Faculty: Students interested in applying should first contact their Faculty to express their interest and request that the Faculty submit their official nomination to the International Relations Office at Beirut Arab University.

Selection and Nomination: The International Relations Office at BAU is responsible for selecting participants and providing the necessary support before, during, and after the mobility period. The selection process will be fair, transparent, and documented, with academic merit as the primary criterion. Where students have an equivalent academic level, preference may be given to students from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds.

Koç University Application: Following their official nomination by BAU, nominated students will receive an email from Koç University containing the application link and login credentials, allowing them to complete their online application.

Eligibility and Academic Requirements
Students applying for the mobility must meet Koç University’s academic requirements:

Undergraduate students: Minimum GPA of 2.2/4.00.
Graduate students: Minimum GPA of 2.5/4.00.
Bachelor’s students must have at least two semesters of grades available on their transcript at the time of application.

English Language Requirements
Students must demonstrate a minimum B2 level of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Koç University accepts:

TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 80 (4.5 for exams taken after January 21, 2026).
IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5.
The language test must have been taken within the last two years.
Students who do not hold an official language certificate may submit a document issued by Beirut Arab University confirming that their English proficiency is at least B2 level.

Required Application Documents
Once officially nominated, students will be required to upload the following documents through Koç University’s online application system:
Proof of English language proficiency meeting the requirements above.
A colored, certified, and most up-to-date transcript, which must be signed and stamped.
Passport scan.
Spring 2027 Semester Dates
Koç University has indicated that the Spring 2027 academic calendar is currently under review due to the European Games scheduled in Istanbul in 2027.

The semester is currently scheduled as follows:

Orientation Week starts: February 1, 2027
Final Exams end: June 12, 2027
However, the calendar may be moved approximately two weeks earlier, in which case:

Orientation Week may start: January 18, 2027
Final Exams may end: May 14, 2027
Students will be informed if the academic calendar changes.

Course Selection
The Spring 2027 course lists have not yet been announced by Koç University. In the meantime, students may consult course lists from previous semesters and identify approximately 8–9 courses to prepare a tentative study plan, subject to approval by their academic coordinators at BAU.

Important
Students should first contact their Faculty and ensure that their official nomination is sent to the International Relations Office at Beirut Arab University.

The official Koç University deadline for both nominations and student applications is November 1, 2026, at 17:00 Istanbul time. Therefore, students must complete the internal BAU nomination sufficiently in advance of this deadline.
