The International Relations Office at Beirut Arab University is pleased to announce an Erasmus+ student mobility opportunity for the Spring Semester at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

Students interested in this opportunity are invited to review the eligibility requirements and follow the application procedure below.

Application Procedure
Interested students should:

• Contact their Faculty: Students interested in applying should first contact their Faculty to express their interest and request that the Faculty submit their official nomination to the International Relations Office at Beirut Arab University.
• Selection and Nomination: The international relations office at BAU is responsible for selecting participants and providing the necessary support before, during, and after the mobility period. The selection process will be fair, transparent, and documented, with academic merit as the primary criterion. Where students have an equivalent academic level, preference may be given to students from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
• Sapienza Requirements: Students should carefully consider Sapienza University of Rome's requirements, particularly regarding language proficiency and research mobility.

Language Requirements
Students must have at least an intermediate B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), depending on their planned activities:

Italian B2 or higher is compulsory for students wishing to attend Italian-taught courses.
English B2 or higher is accepted for:
Students attending English-taught modules/courses at Sapienza. (https://corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/en)
Students undertaking a final research project, provided that their Sapienza academic tutor accepts English as the working language.
Language proficiency may be demonstrated through an official certificate (such as CILS, CELI, PLIDA, TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge) or through an alternative qualification issued by the Beirut Arab University.

Important: Sapienza does not accept students wishing to attend English-taught courses in Medicine. However, Medicine students may be accepted for research activities.

Students Planning to Conduct Research
Students who intend to conduct research at Sapienza University, whether in Medicine or another discipline, must obtain a letter of acceptance from a Sapienza Professor within the deadline of the nomination phase.

Students should first contact their Faculty and ensure that their official nomination is sent to the International Relations Office at Beirut Arab University.
