Kassandra Yaghi

I will start by introducing myself. My name is Kassandra Yaghi and I am a master's student in clinical nutrition and dietetics. When I first heard about the Erasmus traineeship program and the opportunity to go to the University of Pavia in Italy, I immediately jumped on the occasion. Fortunately, my traineeship application was accepted. I was very excited and had set high expectations for this experience.

From a professional perspective, I had the chance to learn a lot and broaden my perspective about nutrition in all its aspects. This traineeship also helped me a lot in improving my research and writing skills. I was lucky enough that all the team members I worked with were a big support on both, the personal and professional levels.

Since I love traveling, the country played a major role in making this experience even more unique. I was very curious to travel all around Italy and discover this wonderful country and its endless beauty from the simplicity of Pavia to the art of Florence, the romance of Verona, the beauty of Bologna, the charm of Venice, the glass of Murano, the colors of Burano, the port of Genoa and the Duomo of Milano. Italian people make this country even more beautiful; they are very friendly, helpful, and full of life.

From a personal point of view, I am very grateful for this experience. Every moment I spent in Italy, be it to work or leisure was priceless. This experience helped me discover and learn more about myself, professionally and personally. It was one-of-a-kind of experience and if I had the chance to do it again, I would definitely go for it.

I would like to thank both, the University of Pavia and Beirut Arab University, for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Many thanks to BAU international relations office as well for being there throughout this journey.
