The Human Rights Center at Beirut Arab University (HRC-BAU) organized on September 2 and 3, 2022 a training workshop about principles and mechanisms of human rights in Lebanon in collaboration with Freidrich Ebert sifting – Lebanon. The purpose of the training was to introduce the participants to the basic principles and mechanisms of human rights, in addition to explaining the historical origins that brought these rights and the international conventions and treaties that protect human rights. The 25 participants applied said principles to cases in Lebanon and reflected on the situation of human rights in the country.
