Credit-hour requirements for the diplomas and academic degrees offered at the various faculties
The minimum period of study for a Master degree is two years and the maximum is five years from the date of enrolment in the program. The minimum period of study for a PhD is three years and the maximum is six years from the date of enrolment in the program. The following table shows the number of credit hours required to attain the degree requirements in all BAU Faculties.

Students have to successfully complete the required credit hours with a CGPA of no less than 2.33 in the course-work, and successfully defend the thesis in no less than two years from the date of registration in the program.
PhD
Student have to successfully complete the required credit hours with a CGPA of no less than 2.33 in the course-work, in the Faculties of Humanities, and a CGPA of no less than 3.00 in the course-work in the Scientific and Medical Faculties and the Faculty of Business Administration, and successfully defend the thesis in no less than three years from the date of registration in the program.
