English Language Proficiency

English is the language of instruction in all BAU’s Faculties except for the Faculties of Human Sciences and Law & Political Science, where the language of instruction depends on the nature of the course(s).

Applicants must provide evidence of their English language proficiency when applying to programs taught in English.

TOEFL (internet-based) 68

Applicants scoring between 50 and 59% in BAU’s English Language Proficiency Exam might be accepted for enrolment, but will have to take Intensive English courses.

Arabic language Proficiency

Applicants to the Faculty of Human Sciences where the language of instruction in some programs is Arabic are required to pass the Arabic language exam before admission.

Applicants to the Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, French Language and Literature programs are required to pass a special admission exam.
