Data transmission using time reversal technique-Results of reverberating chamber measurements
Abstract
We propose to study the time reversal (TR) technique for wireless communications. In a TR application, the time-reversed signal of the channel impulse response (CIR) of the medium is retransmitted back from the base station. Thus a compensation of the multipath effects leads to a space-time focused signal on the receiver position. Spatial focusing allows a concentration of the signal power on the receiver position while reducing it at positions far from the receiver. Temporal focusing reduces echoes of the received signal and simplify its processing.
