Science - Course - Medical Microbiology

This course introduces students to the basic concepts of infectious diseases with focus on microbial species that cause human diseases including viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa, as well as their mechanisms of pathogenesis. Human microbiota, public health threats and antibiotic resistance are also discussed. Pre-req.: BIOL 333.
