Nomenclature, chemistry of heterocyclic compounds containing oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur with special emphasis on their synthesis, reactions, stereochemistry and spectroscopy; fused ring systems involving furan, pyrrole and thiophene. Heterocyclic compounds, analogues of quinoline, heterocyclic compounds with more than one heteroatom with a seven membered ring.
