Course Description
This module introduces students to the structure and function, the general, special and applied aspects of bones, muscles, nerves and joints of the upper and lower limbs. The students also study medical imaging of normal specimen and applied anatomy in addition to the study of the peripheral and autonomic nervous system and anti-inflammatory drugs. The module involves clinical skill lab training emphasizing on surface anatomy. Also, students learn how to conduct a medical interview with special emphasis on general communication skills, active listening, speaking strategies, dialogue strategies etc. The module involves demographic aspects in relation to disease process including: population pyramids, rates of population growth and population dynamics.
