This course is the second of a two-course sequence with EDEC 351. Both courses present methods prioritizing early learning and cognitive development, social and emotional development, promoting muscle tone, developing a sense of wonder and discovery, closing the educational gap and preparing children for formal education. In this second course, student teachers will explore the High/Scope Approach, the Interaction Approach, the Responsive Classroom Approach, the Outdoor and Nature-Based Learning, Storytelling and literacy, Puppetry, Storyboards and Role Play, and Exploration and Inquiry-Based Learning.
