This course is the first of a two-course sequence with EDEC 401. Both courses present methods prioritizing early learning and cognitive development, social and emotional development, promoting muscle tone, developing a sense of wonder and discovery, closing the educational gap and preparing children for formal education. In this first course, student teachers will explore Project-based learning (PBL), Play-based learning, Gamification, Montessori Method, and The Reggio Emilia Method.
