Human-Sciences - Course - STYLISTICS

Since translators work across texts, this course adopts a contrastive approach to the study of stylistics. Students are encouraged to identify the elements that make up the style of the original and reflect it in their translation. The course focuses on aspects of correspondence and /or equivalence between the various elements of style in English and Arabic Texts, but also highlights differences and how these may affect the communicative impact of texts.
