Course Description

This course refers to the patterns of rhythm, sound, and intonation in spoken or written verse. It encompasses several elements that contribute to the overall musical quality of poetry. It covers the structured rhythm of a poem, defined by the arrangement of stressed and unstressed syllables, type of rhymes, alliteration and assonance, caesura, enjambment, tone and mood, and stanza forms.
