Course Description
This course aims to introduce the student to the basics of the educational process, illustrating the relationship between the educational sciences on the one hand, and philosophical and cultural principles on the other. The course also relates the educational sciences to societal and psychological factors. It seeks to trace the developments and changes witnessed in the schools of educational thought, as elaborated by pedagogues in the past and today. The course, further, aims to introduce the student to the main principles of the educational process, while tracing the impact of education on societal development. Thus, the course demonstrates the important role played by each component of the educational process in the development of learning.
