Course Description
The course introduces student teachers to the principles and practices of assessing learning and development in educational settings. Topics covered include assessment design, validity and reliability of assessment tools, formative and summative assessment strategies, interpreting assessment data, and using assessments to guide instruction and improve learning outcomes. They will learn how to construct effective assessments, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions to support student growth and achievement. Ethical considerations in educational assessment will also be addressed.
