Course Description
In this course, student teachers will develop a foundational understanding of the Earth, its systems, and the universe beyond. Through engaging activities, hands-on experiments, and exploration of real-world phenomena, they will explore the Earth’s structure to understand its layers and its components, Weather and Climate dynamics and patterns, Earth’s natural resources including renewable and nonrenewable sources, and the importance of conservation and sustainability, the Solar System and the celestial bodies within, Changing Earth and geological processes such as erosion, sedimentation, and the effects of natural disasters like earthquakes and volcanoes, and Astronomy and the Night Sky to understand the concepts related to stars, constellations, the phases of the moon, and the importance of the sun for life on Earth.
