Course Description

This course offers a knowledge base for understanding the relationship between education and the issues of local and global community and factors of change, to determine the role of education in development, family and environment issues. It helps them to understand the educational implications of some local and international community issues and the interrelationship of children, families, schools, and communities. The course will highlight the critical roles of families in schooling and will focusses on the development of the collaborative skills necessary to work effectively with families, communities, professionals in the field, and other adults in connection with childhood education.
