Course Description

This course highlights the effects of the major classes of chemical contaminants in food. It will focus on the sources of contaminants as well as the treatment methods of food. The mechanism of action of the contaminants and the chemical food poisoning will be also explored. The course will create awareness & impart working knowledge to understand the usage of food additives and their applications in different countries for different purposes in food according to their classes.
