Course Description
The aim of this course is to give an advanced understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the immune system and immune responses in the modern clinical immunology context. It will enable students to develop critical and experimental research skills relevant to the field and learn how immunological investigations are employed to develop a clinical diagnosis. The course gives also a special emphasis on the major assays and advanced techniques employed in research and clinical laboratories: IHC, Flow cytometry, Immuno-PCR, Elispot, Fluorescent Multiplex array, HLA-typing SSP-PCR, PRA.
