Course Description
This course covers an advanced study of all medically important bacteria regarding their pathogenesis, brief clinical presentations, and stressing on the different laboratory techniques for their identification ranging from their antigen detection, bacterial isolation on different media, serology tests up to molecular techniques for their diagnosis. In addition, this course will take in consideration the infection prevention and control by studying the emerging multidrug-resistant organisms in various healthcare facilities and the different laboratory techniques for their diagnosis.
