Course Description
This course provides an introduction to catalysis, the fundamentals of catalytic science, the catalyst properties and the kinetics of the catalysis mechanism. It also covers the catalyst preparation and characterization techniques as well as the deactivation mechanisms. Applications to industrial catalytic processes are also covered: Hydrogen Production and Synthesis Gas Reactions (Fischer-Tropsch Process), Hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of organic compounds.
