Course Description
After completing this course, students will learn and practice the concepts and principles of scientific research. The knowledge of scientific method will allow them to design and conduct their own research projects with precision. The course will discuss topics including design of epidemiological oral health studies and randomized clinical trials, sampling methods, causation and association, and the ethical aspects of health research. Qualitative research with data validity and quality are discussed as well. Moreover, students will be able to construct a research proposal according to the WHO format recommendations.
