Dentistry - Course - Public Health and Community Dentistry

The course aims to enable the students to understand the basic concepts and methodology of dental health education including motivation, communication, principles, methods and barriers together with health education programs. This course will also cover the basic epidemiological aspects of oral and dental disease as dental caries and periodontal disease including indices to measure the conditions and risk factors. Moreover, the course will address new concepts in prevention of different oral and dental diseases.
