Course Description
This course is a comprehensive course in the principles and methods of study in the epidemiology and prevention of oral diseases besides the interrelationships between oral and systemic health as well. This course provides the graduate student with a solid basis for the relevant topics in the epidemiology of oral diseases including measurement techniques, causality, risk factor identification, distribution of oral diseases and conditions in population. In addition to preventive measures such as fluoride programs, diet and nutrition, chemical approaches in controlling different dental diseases; it will also focus on the interrelationship between oral and general health affecting the general population’s quality of life.
