The course aims to provide student with a solid understanding of topics related to the labor market. It includes topics such labor demand and supply, family coordination of time allocation, unemployment, the Okun’s law, human capital, union status, minimum wage, discrimination as wage determinants; wage inequality as affected by skill supplies, minimum wages, unions, immigration, and international trade.
