Course Description
This seminar course in international management is designed to introduce students to some of the key concepts and important areas of research in this discipline. Understanding globalization, multinational corporations (MNCs) and important components of their strategies, and organizations and management systems in both developed and developing countries are some of the focusing areas in this seminar. The course covers topics related to international management theories, the impacts of globalization, multinational corporations, national culture, and national institutions as the most influential macro elements of today’s global business environment. The course discusses also areas such as internationalization of SMEs, the overall international strategies, entry modes and international joint ventures, and organizations and management practices.
