Course Description
First Module of Extended Course: This studio concentrates on a design problem addressing the urban dimension in architecture. Projects in this studio analyze problems of practical relevance to contemporary urban settings, with an investigation of the social and ideological aspects of the urban design process. Design work is preceded by research on contemporary theories and advanced design approaches, analysis and experimentation of design opportunities and constraints, followed by interpretation and formulation of concepts and development of proposals.
Prerequisite: ARCH540.
