Education for sustainable development is not a particular programme or project, but is rather an umbrella for many forms of education that already exist. This paper attempts to discuss how education policies reinforce and promote the graduates' professional development during their life–time careers. This study discusses how such policies support the economic and social development of higher education in Lebanon. At the end of the paper, recommendations are proposed.
