Dr. Maha is an Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department, Faculty of Health Sciences, Beirut Arab University (BAU), Tripoli. She holds a PhD in Public Health (Health Management and Policy) from Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), Faculty of Medicine, Beirut, awarded with distinction in December 2025. She earned her M.Sc. in Nursing Research from Saint Joseph University of Beirut and a B.Sc. in Nursing with honors from the Lebanese University, Tripoli.

She has extensive clinical and academic experience, including 6 years as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Nini Hospital in medical, surgical, and ICU departments and 13 years as a nursing director at Chahine Hospital. In parallel, she served as a part-time lecturer at City University (2009–2019) and contributed to the education of LT, TS, and BT nursing students in various technical institutes since 1999.

Dr. Maha has a great passion for the implementation of new teaching and learning methodology in nursing courses. At BAU, she teaches the following courses:

Dr. Maha is interested in nursing workforce dynamics, migration and retention of nurses in crisis settings, health policy and health systems strengthening, and innovation in nursing education.

Dr. Maha is actively involved in faculty-based clinical training and capacity building, with a strong focus on developing students’ clinical competence and emergency preparedness through hands-on and simulation-based education.

  • Lead and deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) and Hands-Only CPR training for nursing and multidisciplinary students at BAU.
  • Contribute to skills-based workshops and simulation training to strengthen clinical performance, patient safety, and emergency response.
  • Organize, participate in, and support multidisciplinary community service activities, enhancing students’ collaboration, screening, and patient management skills in real community settings.
  • Promote competency-based learning by integrating practical training approaches into undergraduate education.
