Dr. El-Dakdouki was selected from a highly competitive pool of international applicants to participate in this mobility program, which took place from March 2 to March 8, 2025. During his time in Rome, he delivered an insightful seminar entitled “The Power of the Small: Bridging Gaps with Nanotechnology.” In this seminar, he explored the transformative impact of nanotechnology in various fields, including drug delivery, medical imaging, and green chemistry, engaging faculty members and students in a meaningful dialogue. In addition to the seminar, Dr. El-Dakdouki conducted a specialized lecture for Master’s students titled “Methods for Nanomaterials Synthesis and Characterization.” This interactive session provided students with practical perspectives and a deeper understanding of current techniques in nanoscience, which was met with great enthusiasm.
To strengthen international ties and foster future collaborative research opportunities, Dr. El-Dakdouki engaged in productive discussions with Prof. Ilaria Fratoddi during his visit. Both parties expressed interest in exploring research collaborations that would benefit both BAU and Sapienza University.
