May Itani
Assistant Professor of Computer Science
M. Itani received her B.E. in Electrical Engineering and M.E. in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon, in 1999 and 2004, respectively. She is the recipient of Charli Korban award for the outstanding graduate student at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at AUB, 2004. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Beirut Arab University in 2017. She worked as a part time instructor at Lebanese American University and American University of Beirut respectively, since 2012 till 2019. She joined Beirut Arab University in September 2020 as a full timer and she is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science Department. Her research areas mainly include future wireless networks, mathematical modeling and heuristic optimization, parallel processing & cryptographic algorithms. She has published several papers in highly ranked peer reviewed international journals & conference proceedings and serves as a reviewer in more than one journal.
