Julie Bu Daher
Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Julie Bu Daher received her B.Sc. in Computer Science from Beirut Arab University (BAU), Lebanon, in 2011. She continued her academic journey in France, earning a Master’s degree in Advanced Information Systems and Software Engineering from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2016. She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université de Lorraine in 2020, where her research focused on sequential pattern generalization for multi-source data mining.
Dr. Bu Daher worked as a Ph.D. researcher at LORIA, Nancy, from 2016 to 2020, contributing to research in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and data mining. She then pursued her postdoctoral research at IRIT, Toulouse, where she specialized in the application of Semantic Web technologies in crisis management.
She joined Beirut Arab University in 2023 as a full-time faculty member and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Her teaching portfolio includes courses on Object-Oriented Programming, Algorithms, Data Warehousing, Database Systems, Theory of Computation, and the Semantic Web.
Dr. Bu Daher’s research interests include artificial intelligence, data mining, machine learning, and the Semantic Web. She has published several research papers in highly ranked international journals and conferences. Additionally, she serves as a reviewer for multiple scientific journals and has contributed to program committees of international workshops and conferences.
