I obtained my BSc in Biochemistry from the Lebanese University, Lebanon in 2009. I earned my M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology with honors from the Doctoral School of Sciences and Technology, Lebanese University, Lebanon in 2011. I was subsequently awarded a scholarship to pursue my Ph.D. under a joint program between the Lebanese University and the University of Lille-2 - France. I obtained in 2014 a Ph.D. in Medical and Food Microbiology from the Lebanese University and a Ph.D. in Biology and Physiology of Organisms from the University of Lille 2. After completing my Ph.D., I taught some courses at the Lebanese University on a part-time basis. I have a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. In 2016, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at the Medical Laboratory Technology Department, Faculty of Health Sciences, at Beirut Arab University. In 2021, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship of one year at the University of Georgia, United States of America.
