Dr. Hilal El Misilmani has received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Beirut Arab University in 2010, and his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut with excellent distinction in 2012 and 2015 respectively. Throughout his graduate studies, Dr. El Misilmani worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), and as a Researcher at both: Beirut Research and Innovation Center, and the American University of Beirut. During his graduate and undergraduate studies, Dr. El Misilmani has been awarded several scholarships: the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) doctoral scholarship award, Rafic Hariri Foundation Scholarship, the Lebanese Association for Scientific Research (LASeR) scholarship, and the Association of Specialization and Scientific Guidance (SSG) Scholarship. After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. El Misilmani worked as a research associate and a lecturer at the American University of Beirut, in the department of the Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since Sept. 2015, Dr. El Misilmani has been working as an assistant professor at Beirut Arab University, in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. Dr. El Misilmani research interests include the design of high power microwave antennas, slotted waveguide antennas, reconfigurable antennas, circularly polarized antennas, multi-band antennas, and antennas for biomedical applications.
