Mohamad El Dandachy

Assistant Professor

Dr. Mohamad El Dandachy is currently working as a full-time Assistant Professor of Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, Beirut Arab University (BAU), Tripoli since September 2017. He received his Ph.D. and MSc. degree in Civil Engineering from Grenoble University  - France in 2016 and 2013 respectively. He obtained his B.E. in Civil Engineering from the Lebanese University Faculty of Engineering - Tripoli - Lebanon in 2013. Prior to joining Beirut Arab University, he was a post doctoral researcher at Grenoble INP for the year of 2016-2017.

Research interests: Thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior of reinforced concrete structures, numerical coupling between concrete mechanical behavior and its permeability, hydro-mechanical behavior of construction joints, hydro-mechanical behavior of steel rebar- concrete interfaces, fresh and hardened properties of concrete mixes incorporating recycled and natural materials.
