Course Description

The course covers a historical overview of women reporters and managers in Middle East media; examination of current portrayals of women and men in media news, entertainment and advertising; discussion of research into the influence of these portrayals on audience attitudes. The role of women in print media: Historical perspective on women journalists; media women and their role in decision making.
