Course Description

The course provides the necessary skills and tools to do proper research work both for the academic and for the corporate sectors. Topics covered in the course include research methods, designs, statistical analysis and reviews of the current issues on research studies.  Students conduct a detailed literature review of a business topic of interest to them, but approved by their faculty mentor. The course aims to develop the student’s ability to understand and apply basic quantitative and statistical methods in business and economics. It will cover such important topics as elements of the probability theory, sampling surveys, statistical modeling, hypotheses testing, non-parametrical methods, regression analysis, analysis of variance, decisions making and time-series forecasting, including the neural network approach.
