The faculty of Architecture - Design and Built Environment participated in the closing event of the project «Lebanon as a State of Knowledge» at Unesco Offices on 27 July 2019. The dean Prof. Ibtihal El Bastawissi presented in Session 1: Research and Actions to achieve SDGs chaired by Dr Tala Zein the secretary general of LNCU (Lebanese National Commission for Unesco). BAU Phd students Shirine Khalil and Fatima Belok shared their previous experience in MOST workshop which was organized by Unesco, Hariri Foundation and BAU last March 2019. The outcome of MOST school «Youth civic engagement and Public Policies for Urban Inclusive Governance through Cultural Heritage » is 6 policy papers prepared by BAU students.
This meets with BAU research strategy to support innovative approaches that address the needs of the community and respond to Sustainable development.
