Dr. Itani graduated from Beirut Arab University with a BSc in pharmacy degree in 2013 and with a Pharm.D degree in 2015.

Dr. Itani started working at BAU in pharmacy practice department as a preceptor and lab instructor in 2014. She also worked as a community pharmacist. She has completed many workshops on first aid, medical education and softpharm.

Dr. Itani research interests focus on clinical pharmacy practice in the institutional and ambulatory settings with emphasis on infectious diseases.


Teaching Experience

Two years’ experience as Professional Pharmacy Practice preceptor, for fifth level students, in hospital settings, responsible for guiding students and supporting them to practice patient care. Instructs Pharmacy Practice I students (PHAR 275), guides them in determining ethical, professional standards and in acquiring advanced communication skills. In addition, worked as lab instructor for Drug Information and Literature Evaluation course and Integrated Case-based Learning I & III. 

2015-16 courses


Research of interests focus on infectious diseases; with regard to epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Research project: Incidence of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Risk Factors, Susceptibility Patterns and Treatment Outcomes (A retrospective study in a Lebanese Hospital). (Pharm.D Thesis)
