Biography

Dr. Doaa is an Associate Professor of  Medicinal Chemistry, at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Beirut Arab University. She received her PhD in 2007 through a channel program and joint supervision between Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt and Hamburg University, Hamburg, Germany. Her study was supported by a scholarship grant awarded by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Dr. Doaa is also a member in many committees including curriculum, research and postgraduate students, and entrance exam committee. In addition, she is assigned as an executive supervisor of the junior research team at Beirut Arab University. Aside from teaching, Dr. Doaa acted as faculty council and curriculum committee secretary and as acting treasurer of Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at Beirut Arab University.
Prior to teaching at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Doaa worked as medial representative and as oncology products specialist at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Egypt in 1995.
Her main research interests are designing, molecular modeling, synthesizing, developing, verifying and characterizing different heterocyclic compounds of biological significance in the fields of anticancer, antimicrobial, estrogen receptor modulators and anti-inflammatory drugs

Research Interest:
Design, molecular modeling, synthesis, development, verification and characterization of different heterocyclic compounds of biological significance in the fields of anticancer, antimicrobial, estrogen receptor modulators, and anti-inflammatory drugs.
