A Lecture on New Models of
Transformation in Contemporary Cities At Beirut

The Faculty of Architectural Engineering at Beirut Arab
University hosted the Italian professor, Uberto Siola, who delivered a
general lecture on “New Models of Transformation in Contemporary Cities”
in Jamal Abdel Nasser Hall on the 20th of October 2011 in the presence
of BAU President, Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi along with the deans of
faculties and student participants.
The lecture is a step toward active participation in the exchange and
rapprochement between the Lebanese and Italian Cultures, a stopover in
the development of engineering and architecture in Italy, and the
benefit from the Italian experience shown in the presented models.
