Beirut Arab University celebrated its Scientific Research Day for 2010 on the 26th of May 2010 within the premises of Debbieh campus as part of the series of BAU's golden jubilee celebrations.

The opening ceremony was attended by the representative of the Director of Intelligence General Khaled Jaroudi, Secretary General of the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) Dr. Mouein Hamzeh, President of the National Center For Middle East Studies Dr. Mohamad Chafic, Vice- President of Alexandria University for Researches and High Studies Dr. Issam Khamis, President of Dar Al Ajazah Al-Islamiah Hospital Mr. Azzam Houri, President of the Board of Trustees of Wakf Al Bir Wal- Ihsan Mr. Toufic Houri, President of Beirut Arab University Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi, Secretary General of Beirut Arab University Mr. Issam Houri, Deans of Faculties in addition to Faculty and Staff members.

In his speech, Prof. El Adawi dealt with the necessity of the scientific research and the major role it contributes to the higher education procedure. He mentioned that Beirut Arab University has embraced several scientific conferences, seminars and workshops that are related to the scientific research and encouraged the researches to cooperate with the different research institutions and centers such as the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Euro Mediterranean University (EMUNI).

Dean of Faculty of Science Prof. Hanafy Holail ensured that the world has undergone quick transformations in the light of the rapid advances of technology whereby the scientific research is well affected. He mentioned that the nation which benefits from the era's advantages is the one which achieves prosperity and stability.

After the opening ceremony, all participants, accompanied by President of Beirut Arab University, had a tour on the 96 exhibited projects that belong to graduate and postgraduate students.
