Beirut Arab University Signs an Agreement with the “Lebanese Agriculture Research Institute”

The President of Beirut Arab University, Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi together with the General Director of the “Lebanese Agriculture Research Institute (LARI)” / “Ministry of Agriculture”, Dr. Micheal Afram, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the 19th of September 2011, at the “Research Center for Environment & Development (RCED)” at Beirut Arab University in Bekaa Campus.

The memorandum allows for cooperation and exchange of competencies and expertise in both institutions in addition to liaising facilities in orchestrated collaborative research projects on one hand and educational and training programs on the other. This will contributes to developing mutual community outreach and various civic engagement activities.

The signature ceremony took place during a “Research Cooperation” round discussion meeting attended by teams of scientists & experts from the Lebanese Agriculture Research Institute (LARI); Remote Sensing Center/National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)- Lebanon, School of Agriculture/ Lebanese University, Dr. Safaa Baydoun; Director of the Research Center for Environment and Education (RCED) at Beirut Arab University, Prof. Mohamad Reslan; Faculty member and Prof. Hamdi Seif, Consultant in Environmental Science and professor in Faculty of Sciences at Beirut Arab University.
