1. Final examinations are held during the final week
of each semester and in coordination with the Registration Office.
2. Students' attendance must be at a minimum of 80%
in any course. Otherwise, students are not allowed to take the relevant
final course examination. After being issued with 2 attendance warnings
successively; a grade of "WF" is given.
3. Students may register in courses from other
departments, faculties, and/or universities as long as they are part of
the curriculum and are approved by the Academic Advisor and the Faculty
Dean. Such courses will be included in the CGPA.
4. A grade "D" on non-specialized and elective
courses and university mandatory and elective courses is a passing
grade.
5. The minimum requirement for success in the
specialized subjects as approved by the faculty is " C- ".
6. Students should not register in any course before
finishing its prerequisites. Students with grade "D" in the
prerequisites may be allowed to register in specialized courses but will
not be considered successful in these courses unless they repeat the
prerequisite and get a grade of " C- " on each course.
7. Students who were not able to attend the relevant
final course examination or fulfill some of the course requirements
because of conditions beyond their control can apply to receive an
Incomplete grade "I" no later than a week from the date of the course
final exam. This is only feasible if they have attended and completed at
least 80% of the course requirements and after the approval of the
course instructor .The course requirement (examination, etc…) must be
met by the end of the second week of the following semester. Otherwise,
a grade of “WF” will appear for that course on the student transcript.
8. Students who have obtained an SGPA grade of less
than 2.00 are allowed to register only 12 credit hours in the following
semester upon the approval of the academic advisor.
9. Students who have obtained a CGPA grade of at
least 3.33 and have completed a minimum of 34 credit hours can register
up to 21 credit hours during the Fall and Spring semesters if approved
by the academic advisor.
10. Graduating students, who are not on the warning
list, can register 21 credit hours in their final semester whether Fall
or Spring if approved by the academic advisor and the Faculty Dean.
11. Except for students expected to graduate,
registration is considered canceled for those with a total number of
credit hours less than 12 at the end of the second week of the semester
in the Scientific faculties, and less than 9 in the Humanities
faculties.
12. Students may attend a number of courses as
listeners only without completing any of the course requirements. This
is reported on the student transcript as "AUD" (AUDIT) and does not
contribute to the credit hour count and total GPA.
13. Students from other recognized universities may
register in some courses as "Special Students".
14. The Faculty Dean can issue a Misconduct Citation
to students proven of unacceptable behavior. If three misconduct
citations are issued throughout the enrollment period, students may be
suspended by the university council.
