An Outstanding concert by the oriental violinist Nidaa Abou Mrad
entitled “Connections: Music Tracks in the Tradition of the Levantine”
was held on February 25th , 2011 at Jamal Abdel Nasser Hall in Beirut
Campus at 8:00 p.m.
The concert was attended by several Cultural Attachés of the Arab
Embassies and invitees, President of Beirut Arab University Prof. Amr
Galal El-Adawi, Secretary General of Beirut Arab University Mr. Issam
Houri, deans of faculties and staff members of Beirut Arab University,
in addition to some artists and social figures.
After playing the
Lebanese Anthem which was performed in the unique musical way of Abou
Mrad and his band, a selection of awesome musical Mystical Verses were
performed on the stage in breathtaking manner. The concert was a moment
of revelation to the audience that was taken to a graceful world of
elevated music in the prevailing world of turmoil.
