Systems Approaches for Enhancing Urban Health and Wellbeing: Implementing Resilience in the City Region of Beirut

The Faculty of Architecture- Design and Built Environment at Beirut Arab University will be holding the Second workshop of the “Systems Approaches for Enhancing Urban Health & Wellbeing: Implementing Resilience in the City Region of Beirut”.

 This is the second workshop in row after the workshop on Health and Wellbeing held on 26-27 April 2017.The workshop will take place from the 18th till the 20th of October 2017 at Ali Rached Hall- Beirut Campus from 8:00 A.M. till 6:00 P.M.


The workshop shall include the following:


1. Present Roadmap 2030 as a tool for financing and implementing the SDGs, the NUA, and the Urban Resilience Masterplan for the City-Region of Beirut
2. Set priorities and draft an implementation plan for the City-Region of Beirut
3. Build capacity in the application of systems thinking to urban health and wellbeing challenges, including model development and application
4. Contribute to the planning of an international conference envisioned for early 2018

30 participants from BAU Faculties in addition to 10 Experts from UHWB will participate in this Workshop.
