New Masters Degree in Library and Information Science

The Faculty of Arts at Beirut Arab University (BAU) is offering a new Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. The degree program aims to equip students with comprehensive and understanding of the foundations of librarianship and information science, principles, ideas of the discipline, the status and expectations of the profession, and applied knowledge in information systems and research methods as well as skill sets necessary for emerging leadership roles of librarians in Libraries, Information Centers, the Information Industry and other venues.
The two-year master’s degree in Library and Information Science will begin in fall 2009.
