Beirut Arab University
hosted Hicham Bekdash in an outstanding exhibition in the Cultural
Forum/ Al Moltaqa located within the premises of Beirut Campus from the
3rd till the 10th of March 2011.
Prof. Amr Galal El-
Adawi, President of Beirut Arab University, Mr. Toufic Houry, President
of Wakf al Bir and Ihsan, Mr. Issam Houri, , Secretary General of Beirut
Arab University, deans of Faculties and directors, in addition to
guests, artists and journalists attended this exhibition.
After cutting the
ribbon, the guests took a tour around the 75 paintings which represent
Bekdash’s creativity. In his brief speech, Bekdash thanked Beirut Arab
University for hosting him and stated that this exhibition represents
several stages of his life, which in turn was the reason behind naming
it the “Retrospective Exhibition” . He added that these paintings and
drawings reflect the several colors and seasons of his own experiences
and that what distinguishes his art from other artists.
In his turn, President
El Adawi expressed his pleasure in hosting Hicham Bekdash at Beirut Arab
University ensuring and pledging that more artistic events will be
witnessed in this cultural season.
