MICR 224  Microbiology and Infection Control

Dentists are exposed to a wide variety of potentially infectious microorganisms in their clinical environment. The course aims to give the students the knowledge and understanding about the best protocols and procedures necessary for working safely. The course aims also at rendering the students familiar with the most common oral microbiota and the most appropriate methods for sterilizing dental clinic equipment. Emphasis is focused on the preventive measures and the best practice taken to inhibit cross infection in dental clinic.
